Pasquilina (Lena) and Giuseppe (Joe) Lonero purchased Pizzarama, a pizza and grinder shop, in 1982. When they opened the restaurant they decided to keep the original name and their children, Lena and Sal, working by their sides. Over the years, the business grew and the family incorporated their Italian heritage and traditional family recipes into the menu. The expanded menu includes a wide selection of appetizers, salads and Italian entrees, as well as the traditional pizza and grinders.
As the menu grew, so did the customer base, prompting the family to rename, remodel, and add a banquet facility. In 1992, it became Lena’s Restaurant and Pizza, honoring matriarch Lena Lonero, lovingly known as “Mama Lena.” Today, former customers proudly own and preserve its rich menu, authentic Italian cuisine, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere cherished for generations.
